start to the day.
More of Gary's gardens are shaping up.
Little Wonder and Phoebe had an appointment with Dr. Edwards today.
Both dogs had Heartworm tests, check up, rabies and distemper shots for Phoebe, Heartworm Meds, Flea and Tick meds for both dogs and 3 cats, 6 doses of topical wormer for cats. $447!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They are worth it, but wholleeeyyy moollleeey.
One big new blossom today.
I must say, having the veggies in raised beds seems like it will be much
more manageable (tomatoes, peppers, carrots, cabbage, cucumbers, asparagus, chives)! Behind the Studio we have 600 garlic plants, 300 onions
spinach, zucchini, squash, beets, raspberries strawberries and rhubarb.
At 5 I left for Rochester and met Jenny
at the Riverside Convention Center.
There was a fundraiser
for Jamie Romeo, who is running for State Assembly.
You may remember Jaime, as she played a huge part in getting
Mary and I elected to the Sweden Town Board.
She is currently the County Chairperson for the Dems.
Here she is with Jenny and her Mom, Kimmy.

She is an excellent candidate.
From there I drove to Brockport to catch up with friends at
"Pints and Politics." Monthly meetings are held by
Western Democrats to catch up on the local scene.
Joe Morelle, Jr. joined us on behalf of his father who is running for Congress. He is also an excellent candidate,
honored to be running for the seat held by Louise Slaughter in the 25th District.
There will be a primary on June 26th.

All that garlic, and the raised beds, we have them here, and they are so much easier to plant and weed. In summer Hugh put thick plastic piping hoops over each bed, 3 per length, drilled a hole in the tubing and put heavy duty nails in, like roofing nails, and netting over the top, like a curved tent!! It saved the strawberries, and kept out the white butterflies.Almost like a mini climate underneath. Your downtown? high level photo gives me a wonderful view of your area.
Your raised beds are certainly catching my interest. I can see where it would be more manageable. I now have all of my spices in pails and pots right near the porch so I can grab bits of oregano and thyme to add to my cooking!
Next year I may plant my lettuce near the porch too!
PS~ Vet fees! Yikes.
