Encouraging....

Berlin was even more of a disaster this morning.  As soon as the clinic was open I called to see what they would suggest.  More dex and antihistamines.  Brought her into the grooming room and gave her 3 more pills (that left me with 1), sponged her off and hoped for the best.
Angel was in at the same time for a soaking and new wrap for her foot.  I think she is improving.
Moon was being worked by Lorrie, so Abbe and Maggie were not happy being along.

Finally they all got turned out to the respective pastures and I finished cleaning my stalls.

Karen, Lorrie and I worked on removing milk weeds and more nettles.  Don't think they have anything to do with the hives, but don't want them around.
Considering that this was supposed to be a grey day, it looked pretty good.

At 10:30 I drove out to the clinic to get more meds.  Phoebe and Gucci kept me company.
It's a very beautiful facility....all the vets are women, and most of the staff too.  Occasionally there is a male intern.
I love driving on the back roads.

 Home in time for lunch.

After many months of nothing happening, the hibiscus plant popped out a blossom.
 4 o'clock....time to switch pastures.

Gary made applesauce this morning and then picked all of these peppers so we can saute them and put them in the freezer.  So domestic today.
We had two eggplants hangin' around so I made eggplant parm for dinner (Annette made it last night...so many times we have had the same dinners).

A traditional salad using our last tomatoes.  Saint Tim just might have eaten this one if I had some Ranch Dressing.
Spags with olive oil, butter and Romano cheese.

Time to tuck the girls in.
I was very grateful to see that Berlin's hives were going down.

Maggie and Angel are getting much more comfortable.

Night all.
Did not get all that much sleep last night.  Wonder if I'll be able to keep my eyes open long enough to watch a little tv.

I've never seen a horse with hives before, and I'm glad that Berlin is getting better--I hope that continues, and that you can stay awake to have and watch a little TV--It's my favorite thing to do at the end of the day.

Take care!

Loved all the horse heads in this post. Those hives looked scary miserable.

Hope you find an answer soon to the hives, in that first picture they are really noticeable. They look painful.

That's one of my favorite ways to eat spaghetti. Glad Berlin is doing better. Those hives were not attractive! (or comfortable, probably)

Those hives are just confounding.

Poor Berlin, she looked miserable...sure hope they clear up and stay away this time.
Your dinner looked delicious! My hubby's favorite spaghetti is white spaghetti, and I'd love the eggplant. Yum! So many peppers...we've never gotten more than a few, ever.
