A cool down, that is.....
We were finished with chores before 8 o'clock. The horses started out in the run-in but ventured out to the pasture. High winds made it more bearable.
At 9 the farrier came to trim Berlin and Abbe. Her name is Stephanie and she lives nearby...has been trimming Moon for years and I liked her work so I thought I would give her a shot.
Both girls were great for her and she was very careful and sensitive to any special needs they might have.
After lunch I went out to the garden and picked onions, cucumbers, zucchini, beets, dill, parsley and basil...which I delivered to Jenny and two of my pals.
I had two choices....take a nap or go to Christina's World and jump in the pool. I chose the pool.
I always find something beautiful in her gardens.
Tabby and DJ were staying in the shade.
When I got back to the farm I made a big bowl of mac salad and then I went out to do chores.
My two little buddies were very happy to go back in the house.
Gary worked in the garden before we ate dinner.
These are our first peppers.
I also made zucchini parm and sliced a tomato topped with vinegar and olive oil. My vegetarian friends would have liked this meal.
Rumor has it that some rain is on the way.
Night all.

Hope you get the rain and the cool down we're supposed to get as well . . .
I think the pool was a good choice--Just sweltering here in Virginia too, and even watering the flowers feels good! Rain on the way for us too, we need it!!
Enjoy your evening!!
How could you EVER leave that pool yesterday? So inviting and 'holding'.
You're better than I, my friend.
Oh Yes, Pool!!!
Love Your Veggie Meals. All We Are Camping Was Veggie...Came Back Feeling Great.
Pray You Get Rain, With A Light Breeze Making You Want A Sweater. Love That Feeling In Summer
Oooo! My mouth is watering looking at that yummy salad and tomatoes. Delicious!
And yes. Pool all the way! Definitely a swim. It's been hot out west here too, but without the humidity. And it IS the humidity that makes it so hard. That's not just a myth, at least to me. :)
Stephanie sounds like she's excellent at her job. Very kind and considerate.
