A nice bright morning, but no dramatic sunrise.
After chores I took a quick shower and met Sally and Judy at Java.
The dogs from A Different Path Gallery were out for a walk at the market.
A week from today, their season ends. What a loss it will be.
Gary was over at Jen's watching the boys and raking leaves.
Got home after 11....Seymour was sunning himself on the back porch.
I did make that apple pie I was talking about yesterday.
Jen, Finn and Coop came up to the farm around 4. A little football with Grampa...
and a little supervision to make sure my horse was cooperative for my first ride in 6 months.
Both girls got a good grooming. Abbe was free to join us in the arena, but she chose to eat grass outside the open door.
I can't tell you how great it was to be back in the saddle. Berlin was a little bucky at the beginning but settled down quickly. Rode her in an English hackamore and she was good to me. Even tho her
l o n g back is dippy, she sure seemed fine and did not act 27 years old. My knee did not bother me at all. ( I only walked today).
Then, this boy wanted to get on!
He was very relaxed and did a great job. I must say, Berlin and Abbe were very cooperative.
Decided to have dinner before doing chores.
Meatball subs, corn and a salad.
Tucked the girls in at 6:30.
Night all.
Let's see if I can stay awake to see the end of "The Good Wife."

Great that you're back in the saddle, Lori and no pain. I, too, love the bear peeping out of your grandson's jacket. Have a great day. Jo
What a great way to spend a fall day. How can you resist those eyes on that boy when he asks to ride! Glad you were able to get on and ride a bit and it sounds like all involved enjoyed it!

Yay!! You rode Berlin! The picture when you were getting ready to bridle her is a photo of a mighty happy and relaxed horse.
