“To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.” — Elliott Erwitt

Last night Steph, Jen and Kevin met some friends at Barber's (a local pub) to celebrate Steph's birthday.  The four grandkids and Ice stayed at the farm and enjoyed popcorn and a video. They watched THE BLACK STALLION RETURNS for the 35th time and loved it the same way they did all the other times.  After having a dinner of ribs, cornbread, baked potatoes, corn, applesauce, coleslaw (which none of them liked) and birthday cake...followed by popcorn, they were hungry again.  Cereal or more cornbread?  Finally Finn and Daniela fell asleep on the floor covered with comforters and at least 6 pillows.  Ariana and I were being entertained by Cooper, who never stopped talking.  When I asked him to get under the covers and go to sleep his response was "I don't think so!"  This was the first overnight at the farm for the four of them together, and all in all they did very well.
