Another grey day with snow off and on.
Gary shoveled most of the driveway and I went out for a few minutes to pick up some steps. After that, it was lunch and hanging by the fire with my buddies.
Jenny, Scott and Fin were coming to dinner so I made some gingerbread for dessert.
The main course was orange chicken, which I had never made before. It took me a long time to prepare all the chicken in my wok, as I had cubed four large breasts.
Put it on paper towels to drain and then it went in a low oven while I prepared the veggies...onions, red peppers
and lots of snow peas.
Added the chicken and orange sauce....
then garnished with orange zest and green onions.
Served it with fruit, rice and
noodles with duck sauce.
Scott surprised me with some egg rolls...so good.
The gingerbread was just right for dessert.
Scott left early as he had some salting to do on some commercial properties. We sat by the fire for some good conversation.
Rebel's flowers are starting to fade. I had to pull some out today.
Night all.

Yummy food, looks so delicious, a good time to be inside, LW, you need bootees on or even tiny gumboots.
