The Farrier

Pretty mild today.  No wind and in the low 30s.

Jessy arrived to trim the boys just as I was finishing chores.
Buddy is going to be 29 and Rebel will be 28.  Both need a little help when their feet are being done.  They were very cooperative and it was nice not to have muddy soles for a change.

As soon as they were done and turned back out....Rebel rolled.
Then it was Buddy's turn on the same spot.
Another new blossom today.  Did not even see it until I went back in the house.

Seymour and
Little Wonder were taking a morning snooze on the bed.  Sidney was outside in the barn.

The sunset was beautiful tonight, tho most of the day was grey.

Gary brought out a little hot water to top off their buckets.  I love it when the barn is warn enough to keep it from freezing.  Should have 8-10 more days of this.

By the time I went back to the house it was pretty dark.
Dinner was simple.  Baked chicken, pasta with butter, olive oil and Romano cheese....and a cucumber, onion, tomato salad with vinegar and oil.

Right now, we are waiting for Stephanie to arrive.  She left Kansas City between 5 and 6 this morning and will drive straight through....almost 14 hours.  I don't know how she does it.
This was pickel ball day for Ariana, Finn and Coop.  I think Jenny went too.  Tomorrow they reserved a court in Rochester somewhere.  On Sunday, the kids are going to the Bill's game.  Should be in the low 50s and raining.  What a contrast.
That's it for now.
Night all.

Down here very un-summery !!! Cold wind, very cold near the Central Plateau at a much higher altitude, and then I look at your snow, sparkly crystals on the ground , look at where Josh is, B C , Whistler season ski passes sold out!!! And a dear friend called in before Christmas and said " I hope this will be okay for your Christmas Present " A load of firewood, all dry.!! Too right, so good to start early, she called back a few days later for hers, a box full of containers with baking. Mini Christmas cakes baked in muffin cases, Apricot Fudge slice. Choc chip cookies for her grandies, and shortbread.

The boys are older than I would have guessed. They are in great shape! We are expecting rain today, which is not welcome at all. Dinner looks really good to me.
