Yesterday (for the most part) was very grey and blah....until late afternoon.
By then, I had so much to do, there was no time to really do the sky justice.
After staying too long at First Friday, I had to run around like a madwoman to finish chores and take a shower before going out to play bridge.
As I was pulling out of the driveway, the sun was going down and my camera was put back to work.
The whole way to Clarkson, click....click....
I didn't make dinner as there was no time. There were all kinds of good things to eat at First Friday and when I arrived at Betty's there was more!
This was only part of what was on the table!
Got home at 11 pm.
Fast forward to this morning....it was over 30 when I let the dogs out.
Gorgeous.
Barb and I did chores. We were done by 8:30...fastest time ever!
Abbe was in my face....she wants a screen test!
The ground is in pretty good shape...a tiny bit of grass.
So much for this morning. Now I have to figure out how I am going to carry two heavy drums to our jam this afternoon. Later.....
The ponies were happy campers.
Look who was asking to have her picture taken again....
Did a little yard work before getting dinner ready. Jack and Louise came over
for a simple supper.... A big salad with pears, apples and craisins.
Sourdough rolls...
Homemade chicken soup
And a yummy carrot cake made by Louise.
You had to be there.
I'm sure glad Barb had chore duty.
Night all.
This is what I decided to do. I wrapped a piece of fabric around my new drum so I could grab onto it.
The djembe went over my shoulder. It worked and I made it into the building.
Did I have a great time or what?
Khalid checked out my sangba and thought it was pretty decent. Then, I played it for two hours straight. Zach played next to me (doundounba) and helped me out as needed. Loved it! I started shooting a video and forgot my camera was on...of course it was way too long and could not get it transferred over to my computer. Ended up trashing it so there is nothing for you to hear. Next time.Sankofa, the African Dance and Drum Ensemble, will be performing April 14-17. Can you see Khalid in the picture above? Can't wait to do a photo shoot at the dress rehearsal.
When I got home at 4:30, it was still gorgeous outside.
Blue skies....mid 40s....The ponies were happy campers.

Crazy weather here in Virginia--It's cold and rainy and dreary, then the sun comes out just long enough to tease us, and then gone again...April really does fool, doesn't it?
I hope your day is an enjoyable one!!
Beatiful sunset, Lori. :)

Oh, that Abbe, she's a funny girl. And oh, that sun and blue sky!
Glad you had such fun drumming.
Great pics of Abbe. She seems to love the camera.
Yum dinner...
busy and tired from doing spring gardening here in suffolk UK BUT never to tired to read and be cheered by your blog.
I have decided that time must move a bit slower than it does here. It seems that you get tons more done in a day than I get done in a week!!!
