Dreary, rainy, damp and chilly. Stephanie was up and on the road by 6:30am. She arrived in Kansas City at 9:30 tonight. She is one tough cookie to drive that straight through!

Pot Luck Jam
A weather change is on the way.
Too bad the sun did not stay out.
After chores I did some laundry, put clean sheets on the bed and then went to Wegmans. I put away my old bags (used for groceries) because Steph got us these cloth bags with family photos for Christmas. They are so cool!
I don't have a clue how this photo showed up on my phone. Cute dog.
Got the boys tucked in, took a shower and we headed down to a friend's house for a pot luck supper and jam. I'd say there were about a dozen of us playing. Here are a couple sounds. Many of us have never played together. Sara had a screen attached to her iPad and could put up the lyrics and chords. Good time and it felt so good to have a music fix.
Home a little after 10.
Night all and wishing you a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Out to Lunch
Talk about a soupy day. In the 30s, raining and wild wind.
A little after 6:30am it looked like this.
Same old same old with the boys. Hay nets under the shed roof and rained on in the pasture.
Little Wonder got caught in some vines.
Gary treated Stephanie and me to lunch today at Rorbachs. A very nice time to have some good conversation...and our sandwiches were great. I had a Reuben and German potato salad. Yum.
Home around two, then an hour later Jen and Scott came up for a family conference. The kids had a good time at the Bill's game (as you can see, these three are Jets fans....so are their Dads)
Chores as usual this evening. The boys were not quite as wet as I thought they would be...but muddy necks and heads from rolling.
Not cooking tonight. Instead I am going to practice a few songs on my uke. Tomorrow night we are going to a pot luck/jam with many of my fellow musicians. I need a music fix.
Night all.

Bills 40 Jets 14
Today there was a 100% chance of rain. Not good as Ariana, Finn and Coop were going to Buffalo for the Bill's game with 5 other friends. They had rain ponchos and plenty of food for a tailgate party before going into the stadium. Fortunately, by game time the conditions were pretty good and it was dry and around 50 degrees.
Meanwhile back at the ranch....it was a mildish morning and no rain.... so I turned the boys out naked. That was a mistake. They had hay under the shed roof, but as soon as they went out to the pasture it started to rain.
I finished chores.....
and put them in the grooming room with some hay and wool coolers to get them dried off.
Put on their sheets and they went out to get rained on again....and rolled to see who could get the dirtiest.
At 1:30 the Bill's game started and it was a good one. I wish we could have seen the kids in this crowd!
Last night at dinner we all made predictions about the score and I do believe Grampa won.
Josh Allen is one very talented quarterback and he has a gigantic following.
The dreary day made it extra dark at chore time.
Steph, Jen and Scott are currently making dinner for the 8 kids who went to the game. We just had a bowl of leftover pasta. Not hungry.
Little Wonder was in snooze mode.
Night all.
