Johnny's Hots

Another dull day in the low to mid 40s.  A new blossom brightened up the kitchen.

Buddy lallygagged around and went into Rebel's stall before heading out to the pasture.

Little Wonder and I finished chores.  Gary went to Jamestown yesterday to spend time with his pals Mike and Barb.  He had the opportunity to participate on their team for some "curling" down at the ice rink.  What a neat experience.
So we were on our own.
I needed to do something with leftover chicken so I put it together with a cream sauce, wide noodles and spinach for a casserole, which we will eat tomorrow.  There was a lot of lemon in the stock I had saved and it was delicious tasting.

After that I made Apple Betty.

While it was baking I went out to pick some flowers that were still hanging on despite the weird weather we have been having.  Not bad for late November!
Once that was done, I decided to change the furniture arrangement in the kitchen.

That finished me off and I sat down with a heating pad on my back.  I was just about to nod off when Gary got home loaded with bags of goodies.  He went to a Swedish market and got korv and sill, then to a Swedish bakery for Almond braids, skorpers, and glazed cider fried cakes.  He also picked up a couple of Swedish gifts for Jenny.

Chores at 5.  Both boys were filthy.

I forgot to mention that Gary stopped at Johnny's Hots and brought home a dozen hot dogs (tradition) with "everything".  Jenny, Finn and Coop joined us for dinner.
Coop doesn't like the hot sauce, so Jenny brought several regular/organic hot dogs.
We also had coleslaw and roasted potatoes....

followed by Apple Betty with ice cream....the good kind.
We always enjoy catching up with Finn and Coop.  They will be home for a week.
Sat by the fire for awhile and now it's very quiet again.
Night all.
