What a mess. It was raining when we went out to do chores....
so I set up the hay under the shed roof and cleaned the stalls.
The girls headed straight out to the pasture and proceeded to get soaked.
They did not want to come in and Little Wonder
did not have a problem sitting in the paddock watching them.
The beautiful outdoor arena is now flooded.
At 11 I asked the girls to come in and had to bribe them with cookies.
Berlin
and Maggie had the shakes (why are they so ridiculous about getting out of the weather???)
I got them all covered and toasty and it was still pouring.
The iris took a beating.
Little Wonder and Phoebe had a 4pm appointment with the Animal Hospital for their heartworm tests and I had a 3pm meeting. Fortunately I was able to take them with me.
Mary loves Wonder and wanted to have her picture taken with him.
The Animal Hospital was out of control busy
and these two were very well behaved.
I could not believe my bill! $313.03 for the blood test, heartworm meds and flea/tick stuff.
A lazy late afternoon and I was very happy to have leftovers for dinner.
Night all.

I paid a fortune at the vets for my two dogs too. They really charge a lot. Ginger has Erlichea from a tick bite and the pills were $90. Plus all the blood tests and heartworm and frontline meds. Whew!
Rained all day here too. Lots of mud and puddles.
If that larger doggie is real, what would his account come to?? too much rain, pity about the iris and paddocks. I would just come inside and enjoy that yummy meal.
I'm still trying to wrap my head around the amount of money I spent on Jackson this month with all the diagnostic work, injections and meds. ...and, of course, he's not insured. Once they are diagnosed with something, its excluded from the policy, and pretty soon there is nothing left. Such a racket.
I am prepared to walk in to see out vet with knowing that a visit with a dog will cost approximately $100.
The farm vet will charge less. If I have him out for something else, he will do work on the small animals too.
