If I Could Send Some Of This Rain To Oak Creek Ranch....

Here we are, getting all this rain....while my friends (Annette and Brett) at Oak Creek Ranch are breathing in smoke from the fires in Northern California.  So many homes and out buildings have been destroyed.  Can't imagine losing everything.
 Around here, we are saturated.
The girls kept hanging around in the barn.
The soaked beet pulp in their diets sure keeps their coats in beautiful condition.

This afternoon we went to a Housewarming Party at Karla and Roger's.
It was jammed with people and good food.  We loved her tofu sloppy joes!
What a great idea (need the recipe).

We were entertained by "Thicker Than Water."
The two on the left are brother and sister and the man on the right is the husband of Roseanne.
It must be such fun to perform with your brother when you get to be this age.

We had a great time and loved the way Karla and Roger decorated their new home.

Most of the guests were from this community and are aware that I am running for office.  All kinds of conversations regarding the local scene.  Many in the town do not have a sense of what goes on here, but this particular group was very well informed and supportive.  Our team goal is to make sure residents are in the loop.

Tucked the girls in a little early as they were in the rain all day.
Seymour helped me prepare their dinner.

Yuck.  When is this wet stuff going to stop?
Right now the temperature is 53.  A few days ago it was 93.
CRAZY!
Night all.

Yes, it does seem unfair to have all of this rain when reading about the news.

Cold and wet, not a good combination at all. Super music, what a gathering, and gracious host and hostess. You do have a wonderful community .

I actually didn't mind the rain for the past two days. We needed it badly and it did cool things down.
Hope it rains soon for Annette and Brett. Fires are so scary.

We would LOVE to have some of your rain! There is a storm coming in across Northern California today -- unfortunately, it is coming in too far north to provide much (if any) rain --just wind. Not good -- although we did have higher humidity last night and cooler temps which is helping the firefighters in their efforts.
