We Went H(ay Wall)...

Cool mornings....on a roll.

Right after chores I started mowing and by 9:30 our friend Harry (Jenny's boss and State Assemblyman) came over to borrow a very L   O   N   G ladder.  Gary has several from his painting days.

Getting it into a truck with a very short bed was quite interesting.
They very careful to make it secure for the trip back to Rochester.
(No bridges to go under).
In the meantime, Scott (with his perfect truck) and Jenny arrived to help us pick up a load of hay over at Conrow Farms.  It is not unusual for them to take in 40,000 bales and I am still buying last years second cutting grass for my girls.  Hopefully they will be doing 2nd cutting around here in the next few weeks and I now have enough to get me through.  It's been a strange season, and until this week there were only a couple of windows when you could get in done.
This is where they will be stacking hay today.  12 bales high and it will be jammed.
Tom took me into another barn that is already so full you could hardly get the "people" door open.  I've never seen so much hay in one place.

The whole trip...stacking and unstacking barely took an hour.
Thank you Scott and Jenny.

The least I could do was make dinner for our farm hands.
 Chores at 7:30.

Can't say enough about the beautiful weather we have been having.
Night all.

Gorgeous horses! What a cool shot of the hay stacked in the barn. The dinner looks delicious! Awesome images, have a happy weekend!

That's a neat barn. We had hay delivered this morning, and still to be put up. But it's 117 heat index and not likely going to get moved today. Hoping cooler tomorrow.
