I'll Try To Keep My Eyes Open....

I expected some rain, but instead, it was a very beautiful day.

After chores I did a few things and then went on my trike ride.
This was my favorite scenery.  The horse on the right, Dee, used to live at our farm.  Then, the owners father and grandfather built her a beautiful barn and she moved him there (about a third of mile down the next road south of us).  The first day Dee was there, he broke through the gate when it was being shut and he ran all the way back to our farm.  Fortunately, everything turned out alright as he went through the woods and down the lane to get here.  He is one very sweet boy and Katie (his owner) has done a great job with him.

There is a sheep farm on another road...
that is called High Bid Farm.
Ironically, thecrazysheeplady (who lives in Kentucky) knew all about this place.  There is a big meeting coming up there pretty soon.  Sheep stuff.
I got home a little after noon and was ready for a nap....it never happened.

Bob, one of our neighbors, was out for a bike ride and stopped over to discuss the Senior Center.  He is very interested and full of ideas.
Has a very serious bike!  Before he left, we loaded him up with some fresh veggies.

Karen took over chore duty for me.  Many thanks for that!
 Tonight Summer Serenades featured
The Bob Sneider Trio, world class jazz.

Jenny brought along a couple of kids from her neighborhood.  I'm not sure they thought the music was their style.  They should have been here for Zak's Pak or Miles Watts and the Brothers From Other Mothers for some very rockin' tunes.
All afternoon Gary tuned into the weather as it was supposed to rain.
 but we lucked out.

Only one more gig left....Tom Mahoney and the Grand Canyon Rescue Episode.
American Roots Rock.  They write most of their own music.
 Time to hit the hay.
Night all.

PS
Finn and Coop got hair cuts tonight.  Kevin grabbed this shot with his phone and I love it!

Are the horses enjoying this cooler weather?
