COOL IT....YEYYYYYYY.

A nice cool morning....Abbe improved even more.
 Masterpiece was acting normal.
Berlin was same old same old.
Tomorrow Phoebe and Gucci will go to the groomer.

Ran a couple of errands and got home in time to go riding with Jill.  We are ready to get started....no more hot weather excuses.
Abbe is so used to getting her foot worked on she thought I wanted her to come in the grooming room.
But no...it was Berlin's turn.
 "Who, Me?"
 "Do I have to?"
 "OK....I'll do it."
Jill and Belle had a very good session.
And Berlin was her usual sweet self.  Next time we will go out back for a ride.
I can't tell you how nice it is to finally have someone to ride with....and the horses get along very well.

Today my class started meeting at 1:30 instead of 10:30.  It will stay this way until late spring.
Just Donna and Judy today.  Tina (who has hardly missed a day in 9 years), had some family business to attend to and I don't know where Jean was.  Is Mel back yet?  Where's Deb?

At the end of class, Donna and I went out to the garden to pick tomatoes and peppers.
Earlier, Jill brought over some leaf lettuce and spinach....then picked some tomatoes.  Bet she's making sauce.
Went out a little early to do chores.  Got everything set up....Belle, Abbe and Berlin came in....where was Masterpiece?  He cantered in last night.  Tonight he could hardly walk on his front left foot (the good one).  When I picked it out I could see a spot near his toe that looked like it was ready to pop.  SO! I soaked him, put on some Sore no More and created a boot.  Tomorrow I will need more Epsom Salts and Duct tape.  I have been on some kind of a roll.  Gave him the option of staying in or going out.  He chose to suffer and went out with the other horses.  Such a tough old boy.
He needs to improve quickly...don't know how much more he can take.
Gary and I had planned to go have breakfast for dinner at the Golden Eagle....he went and I made sure my horse was taken care of.  There was a big meeting tonight at the Middle School regarding the formation of a fire district. For months two towns and the village have been duking it out.  I'm pretty tired of politics getting in the way of progress (and I'm pretty political).  It has been a nasty fight and who knows what will happen.  As I was driving down....pulled off the road to get some sky shots.

At the end of the presentation, the two town boards and the village board were up on the stage while questions were taken from the audience.  In front of them was a group of attorneys, who were on hand to help answer questions.  Frankly, I was quite disappointed with the "non" answers that were given.  You can be sure, that it's going to cost more in the long run...even tho they are not saying that in so many words.  At this time...I don't have a clue as to what is going to happen.  What I do know, is that if the referendum is voted down, both Towns say they will no longer deal with the Village.  So sad.
Put the ponies in around 9:30.  Gave Masterpiece more bute...hope it gives him some relief....poor boy.
Night all.

That is reason I hate politics. In all government situations you end up with a group of people who want to be "right" instead of do "right". I hate it. I could give a rats ass about the bs...just want us all to live a good life. Seems we have too many who want paid, and who don't want to pay!!!

I hope it works out for all. If you are talking fire service then everyone should pay, and everyone should have it. No one cares until their house is on fire.

The fire district is nothing but "dirty politics" so frustrating! In the end, they just want to dissolve Brockport and turn it into a slum.

Guess where I stand!

The things you attend to - sore (animal) feet, gardens, class, cooking, politics - ack - politics. You do so much.

The only good thing about abscesses is how quickly they heal with tlc. After a few days of looking completely crippled, soaking, wrapping, etc., suddenly they look fine. Hope the big guy feels great soon.
