So Much Sunshine

The windshield was frozen again.

Another new blossom this morning.  These plants must love being in the house.

Gary went to Yoga and out to lunch....I grabbed some stuff at Wegmans for lunch tomorrow (Doug and Linda are coming over for Reubens)...and Gary had a 3pm appointment in Rochester.  I did a couple loads of laundry....2 dog beds and towels that I take out to the barn.  By the time I finished that, the kitchen was loaded with sunshine and Little Wonder was bathing in it.

Sidney eventually was beamed up too.

As per usual, the fire was going all afternoon.

Chores at 6.

Rebel and Buddy were ready, and had new shavings waiting for them in their stalls.

I thawed out some lasagna....

made a salad....

and dinner was delicious.

Can you believe the World Series went on for 18 innings and ended at 3am Eastern Standard Time?  There must have been a lot of tired people out there this morning.

Home Sweet Home

This morning it was so cold there was ice on the car windshield.

After breakfast Rebel and Buddy went to the pasture first...

and eventually came back down for some hay.

After chores I brought the rest of my music stuff into the house from the Studio.  It's going to be too hard to warm it up with my little heater.  Sounds like John and Gary are interested in making more music and that makes me very happy!

I did a little more reading....which put me to sleep.  Not a very productive afternoon.  Gary put up a couple of storm windows while I hung out by the fire.  Chores at 6.

We are in for another freeze.

Thawed out some squash soup for dinner

and served it with bagels, apples and cheese.  Casual, but delicious.

This is where we sit for most of our meals and on the right there used to be a cupboard.  When the peninsula was built, we left it there and it is Little Wonder's favorite hideout.  He has two other beds as well...another one in the kitchen and one in the library.

Tomorrow we are going to have to get the lead out and do something.

The Bills are Back

38 degrees at 8am.  We had another hard frost last night.

Sid was trying to get warmed up on the heater.

I put hay in the sunshine again.

Back in the house before 9.  New blossoms.

Late morning we went down to the Community Center for early voting and then stopped at Jenny's to see her new sidewalk.

Made a big pot of chili and was

in the mood for eggs and a bagel for lunch.

Then it was time to watch the game.  

So glad the Bills won.

Little Wonder slept through it.

At 5 Jenny stopped up to get some clippers and checked out the boys.  Sent her home with some of the chili.

Evening chores at 6.

The boys were ready to chow.

Dinner was just right for this cooler weather.
