Where Are the Photos?

Not too many today.  Started off the morning getting the house in order for a meeting that was held here from 10-12:30.

After everyone left we had lunch....Gary stacked more wood and I did nothing by the fire.
My trusty dog stuck with me.

By late afternoon there was some great light coming in from the west.

85% of our snow has melted and now we are in for two cold days before we have a pretty good warm up.  May hit 60 degrees by a week from today,
Gary was up for going out to dinner and we had part of a gift card left from Grampa Sams's so we went there and had excellent meals.

Tomorrow I have to get more steps in.
Night all.

PS
Congress needs to take some action....NOW!

I Caught the Vibe

The sunrise was beautiful.

Gary has been bringing more wood up to the porch.  It got wet and he's trying to get it dried out.  We did not start a fire today until late afternoon.
Since losing Rebel I have gotten so many messages and the sweetest cards.  Appreciated.
Seeing that it was almost 44 today and the sun was out, I decided it was time to make a rare trip to the Mall to see if I could find a coat.  I figured they would either be on sale or gone.
Little Wonder took a quick snooze while I took a shower.

I bet I have not been to the Mall in years.  Just not a shopper and I have been living in barn clothes.  For some reason today felt like the right time to get off the farm.

I found the perfect coat.  3/4 length with a hood and 50% off.  When I got to the cashier, she took another 25 percent off and I got it for $79!  Probably have not bought one in over a decade so it was worth it.
I took Little Wonder outside for awhile, but he was not in the mood to walk around.

Hopefully Sidney will be spending more time outside as it warms up.

Had a little down time this afternoon and started on dinner.
Cooked cabbage with onions and carrots.....
and pork chops on a bed of onions and apples.
For a change.
Night all.

Sunshine All Day Long

Woke up to this.

Around 9 Little Wonder and I went out to the gooming room so I could get a tack trunk ready for Buddy.

Then, I drove it out to Andrea's and had a chance to get things organized and see him.

He is still settling in....not very happy without Rebel.
Got home in time for a hot shower and went to the library for bridge.  It was Terry's birthday and Melba made her a cake.

Nowhere near first place today but that doesn't matter as playing is the best part.
Home by 4:30 and started on a very simple dinner.  By that time the sun was doing it's thing on the west side of the house.

Perfect light for a photo shoot.

Very simple supper.  A frittata and bagels.

Thanks to all of you who have been leaving me comments.  Feels good.
Night all.

Blurry

Wet snow and ended up just above freezing.

Late morning I had an appointment with my eye doctor....expected to be told I need cataract surgery, but not quite yet.  The last thing she did....dialated my eyes.  Driving home was interesting.  Ironically, Gary had his annual check up at 3 so I dropped him off and then took Little Wonder to the groomers.

There is a photographer in this area who does portraits and has shows of her work.  Her themes vary from year to year and she has taken some amazing photos of the homeless.  This year she is doing "old" people and is going to include me.  That's not really the title of the show....that's what I am saying.  Anyway, after the photos are ready for framing, she is going to have us write something about ourselves on the mats.  She is looking for wild color and some funkiness with a story.  She views me as an artist.  Today I sent her some photos of our house so we can figure out where to do the shoot.  I will also take her out to the Studio.  Maybe I will include my ukulele!  Got any suggestions?

Little Wonder's groomer has given notice that she will be retiring and going back to school to become a nurse.  He was good for her today and will be able to go there one more time in May.  Then, I have to find a new one.  That is scary, as he is not that hot for new people.  Dropped him off at 3....
and picked him up at 4:30 before picking up Gary.  Perfect timing.

Rebel's flowers are fading, so I picked out the survivors and made a new bouquet for the kitchen table.

Little Wonder looks so cute and he smells great.

A late start on dinner....for the first time in history I made some tater tots (Gary loves them when we go to Barber's for a meal) along with open faced cheeseburgers with onions.  Our homemade dill pickles....of course.  Tasted great.
Night all.
