Last night I went out to the barn around 8:30....groomed the boys and put on their blankets as the temperature had dropped. So glad I did it, as we were in the 30s this morning.
I gambled that it was not going to rain for awhile and fed them behind the grooming room
As per usual, LW waited patiently for me to finish cleaning the stalls.
Gary is catching a little break as he doesn't have to come out to do water at night until we get back to freezing temperatures. He just does it in the morning before he grabs the wheel barrow.
It was a perfect day to clean up the pastures. There was more manure out there than I thought.
This afternoon I sat by the fire and binged the series I am watching. It is very unusual and was recommended by Jenny. Have any of you seen Ted Lasso on Apple TV? Even tho it gets pretty corny, there is a message in every episode that I have liked,
Around 3:30 I went to Brockport to pick up a couple more pillows for that king sized bed and also found some stick matches. Not too many stores (like Wegmans) carry the big ones anymore. We almost ran out when the power was off yesterday so I grabbed 4 boxes. Around 4 it was raining again and the boys were hanging out behind the grooming room getting wet.
Once again they were tucked in a little early.
Gary picked the indoor this morning and we noticed that a window had been broken on the West side. Since I leave the side door open, pigeons get in there and I think a hawk did them all in. Feathers on the footing and not a bird to be found. Hopefully we got every little piece of glass. Now we have to cover the window with something before it snows again. I assume that the hawk broke it to get out while the side door was closed.
Not in a cooking mood, so we had naan bread pizzas and a salad tonight.
Tasted good.
Looking forward to the Bills game tomorrow. So many people from this area have gone to Florida to watch it. We are going to Jenny's and will have lunch while we are cheering them on.
Night all.
PS
I started my Journal on February 22, 2008 after reading the BEDLAM FARM blog (Jon Katz...the author) that was recommended to me by a friend. I decided that I could do this and since then, have posted all but two days....once I was in the hospital and once we had no power. As of tonight I have had 4, 013, 364 hits. It amazes me that people are interested in what goes on around here. I love the way we find each other and learn so much that you would think we are neighbors. I have only met about 6 of my followers in person and would love to meet more. Currently, I am connecting with several almost every day. Little Wonder also has a following on FaceBook. He has been on there every day (THE ADVENTURES OF LITTLE WONDER) and now he is 10 years old. He is followed from Nova Scotia, to France to New Zealand....... It has been a lot of fun! I have really enjoyed meeting so many people on and off line!

I still enjoy reading blogs of folks on my iPad more than any other social media. I’m thankful for yours Lori as you call it like it is and you know I enjoy seeing whatever you cook for your meals. I’ve used your lasagna soup recipe and others through the years. Thank you! Kathy
Yes, LW has an avid follower down here, where we are soon leaving summer behind.Already the mornings seems a tiny bit darker, and we will very soon order our first load of firewood. Between LW and Skoog Farm Journal, I have wonderful reading, events that I didn't know anything about, and family news that is shared. Lori, you are marvellous to keep a post published every day. From The New Zealand reader,.XXX
My dog Morris had quite a following, he was a character. Blogs are interesting insights to how others may live and that's probably why it is interesting to so many.
