Deleted

Brilliant!
I deleted a ton of photos taken this afternoon.

We woke up to  couple inches of snow after
many hours of rain last night.
Lots of strong winds (sustained at 30mph)
and bitter temperatures.

I put hay nets under the shed roof and more in the indoor
so the horses could get out of the wind.
They took full advantage and spent much of the day in there.

Just before noon I drove down to a lab for some blood work.
By then the roads were pretty good.

I was supposed to have lunch and bridge here today,
but that was cancelled due to one person being sick
and we did not know how bad the driving conditions
were going to be.  Hopefully we can make it up next week.

I ended up by the fire and took a nap.
By late afternoon the sun was brilliant and I took some
great photos that you will never see.  Practiced a song
on my uke, then started on dinner.  We had sliced chicken,
potato salad and a tomato salad....a winter picnic.

That's it for now.
Night all.

Transition....Again

Not a very nice day.
Grey, foggy, raining....
snow on the way.
50-55 mile per hour winds tomorrow.

This afternoon was all about music.
We worded on a lot of songs,
paying more attention to our instruments.

While we were playing, the fog rolled in.

Gary had a dinner meeting and I drove down to the
library for my own meeting.  By then it was pouring.
Supposed to have lunch and bridge tomorrow, but decided
to postpone it to next week.
Night all.

Not Much

Grey and muddy.

 Chores.  Class.  Haircut.  Wegmans.

Tonight we took Finn and Coop to a pancake supper.
No cooking.

Night all.

Minestrone...

One beautiful day.
50 degrees +.

 No red coats today.

A lot more snow has melted since this morning.

I decided to make a big pot of Minestrone soup
after chores.  Nancy served it to us at our last rehearsal
and it was so delicious I was motivated.
Started out with celery, onions and carrots.
While that was going on,  I put some chicken stock (Better than Boullion)
and a (frozen) bag of our home made sauce in a big pot.
Let those flavors blend together, then I added cannellini beans,
green beans, black beans, diced potatoes and corn.
In the meantime, made whatever pasta I could find
and drained it.
 Threw in some spinach
 and added the cooked pasta.
Salt and pepper to taste.
 The kitchen smelled divine.
At 3 I had a much needed massage and stopped at Wegmans on the way home.
Yey!!!!! Karen was back so I did not have to do evening chores.

 Dinner was delicious.
 Night all.
