Hot Means Slowwwwww.....

I managed to catch the sunrise as the pups and I were outside a little after 6.

Fortunately the temperature is pretty decent when I go out for morning chores.

On Saturday when we left the BBQ, I discovered that someone snagged the rear end of my
car and left a nice scrape and a black mark.  Of course they did not leave a note or find me.
After chores I went down to Spurr's to see what could be done.

Other than that, I was not very productive today... but I did meet Hanny at Agape at 2.
That time was not a good idea for me.  Much better in the morning when I have
not eaten.  I was dragging on the elliptical, but managed 21 minutes and went on to the bike and treadmill.  About an hour of activity was enough.
On the way home I stopped at Wegmans....and when I got back in the car the temperature read 101 degrees!  Of course it went down (to 93) when I left the parking lot.  So hot and muggy!
We had a simple but delicious dinner.  Lots of veggies and grilled Italian sausage "burgers"
with peppers and onions.
 At 7 Phoebe
Little Wonder and I went out for a few minutes
 and it was still very
 uncomfortable.
We're inside 'til it cools down.
Night all.

PS

We we married 52 years ago on this day.
Tomorrow we are going to Zambistro for lunch, to celebrate.

It's Back....

After chores I mowed the lawn.  Tomorrow we may have higher temperatures
and some rain so I got it done.  The grass has been growing like crazy.
I decided to have eggs for breakfast and no lunch.

Went down to the Sunday Jam for just one hour as I had to be ready to go to a shower
for Helen's granddaughter, Shaina, at 2:15.
Kathy wrote this song for our Buskers.
Helen, Alicia, Joan and I arrived at Shaina and Mike's home a little before three
and within minutes there were at least 40 others there.

I have told you about Shaina and Mike before.
She has a food truck (Effortlessly Healthy) and he has three food trucks (Chef's).
 This is their daughter.

The meal we had was fabulous....of course it was prepared by Mike.
And there was even more than this!

Diane, Shaina's Mom, prepared the baby's room and it had an animal theme.
Shaina's Grandmother (my friend Helen...the artist) painted this for the new baby.
 So perfect.
Shaina and Mike are great hosts and outdid themselves.
It was so hot and muggy, many chose to go in the pool.
There were two musicians providing music from the Dave Matthews Cover Band.
Presents galore....

I did not get home until about 6:30....

 and I had chore duty.

Got the girls tucked in around 7.  I hope it cools off tonight.

 Still hot and muggy.

Night all.
