BRETT, YOU ARE NOT ALONE BUDDY....

Went to bed before 11:30 and did not wake up until it looked like this outside this morning.
Somehow I stretched the length of time between meds.  Gary made me an English Muffin, I downed a pill and we both fell back to sleep for almost two hours.

Yesterday Annette had Brett take pictures during his chore duties out at Aspen Meadows.  He (like Gary) has had to pick up the slack while she and I have been icing our raised legs (Annette has broken toes).  We all choose different things to photograph.  Below are Gary's photos taken during morning chores.
Don't forget the carrots....

Sidney was there...yey!!!!!!!!!

He also soaked sweet Abbe's leg.  She just stands there in a bucket of water, no halter or lead.
Love that girl!

He left for coffee and I snoozed somemore.
When he got home I had the last chili dog and a salad.
Jen came up in the afternoon to give Abbe and Berlin the spa treatment.  She also picked spinach.
Mary Pat dropped off a rhubarb pie and picked a big bag full to make more.
I swear, there are as many pictures of her on this blog as those of our kids.
Judy stopped in.  So did Nancy and John Bell....more food!
I watched a movie this afternoon and did several of my PT exercises.
Finished them up after dinner....Minestrone soup, a salad with apples, craisins, apricots and almonds on mixed greens.  Bread from Chet Fery...the "breadman."
What more do we need?
Thanks everybody!!!!
How lucky we are to live in a community bursting with so many caring people.
Night all.
PS....Perhaps it is time to start a challenge between Brett and Gary.
They can post their favorite shot of the week whenever they want to.

PHOTOS BY MAMA AND THE CUB...

The Skoog Farm Journal Cub Reporter tried out her new camera....

Her father went down to help her with the lawn, as she was having mowing problems.

Jenny' yard is really shaping up.

Buster and Ice did their best to stay out of the way.

Meanwhile back at the ranch....I had an Abbe siting this morning.

 Another beautiful day...still need rain.

 Lots of visitors.

Ben and his Grandma (Judy) stopped over for a visit and brought a very special treat!  Judy has become our personal chef!!!!!

Chili Dogs!  What a hit!

 Gary, Jenny and I chowed!

Then Mary Pat (my favorite model) stopped by to pick some rhubarb.

Right after she left, Sally pulled in and then Carol.  We all had quite a chat.

More food in the frig too.

I still have one set of Physical Therapy to go.  Yuck!

And how could I forget Tina?  She stopped over late afternoon to pick some spinach
and brought us a beautiful begonia...pictures tomorrow.

Time for a nap.
Night all.

Thanks for all the cards, letters, emails, food and attention!!!!!!!

AND TONIGHT'S DINNER!

was brought to us by good friend, Sara C.
Chicken and stuffing, homemade muffins and a Barefoot Contessa salad with watermelon, feta cheese and fresh mint.  What a great meal.

It was almost 90 here today.  I'm feeling very sorry for Gary and all the extra work he has had to take on.  He is still out there with the horses...soaking Abbe, picking etc.  Poor guy.

Therapy was tough but I did it, and am ahead of schedule.
Time to get on the couch under a fan...hope I can get out of it later!
Night all.

CHANGES

 Not a picture taking day.
Went out on the porch....saw Lily and her best bud.
Staples out, blood draw and first shower...hot.  Talked on the phone and Hanny stopped up with
some homemade jam.  Perfect timing.
Dragged out sauce from the freezer...delish.
I think Gary is getting tired.
Night all.  Thanks for all your notes.

ANOTHER EXCITING DAY....

Photos by Jennifer, cub reporter for the Skoog Farm Journal.

Mowing, cleaning, worrying about Abbe, tough physical therapy, no words left tonight.
