Talk About a Swamp....

 What a mess!

However.....there was a sign of spring.

 Class at 10:30.

 Farrier at 3:30.
Berlin would not let me catch her.  So much deep mud!

Rebel and Berlin got a good grooming and had their manes shortened
before I put on their medium blankets.

Still raining at 7pm.
Night all.

Where Was My Camera Today?

We are now in the mud phase as the
temperature was in the high 40s today
and 98% of the snow melted.  On top
of that, we had some rain.

After chores I made a quick trip to Wegmans and spent much of
the afternoon prone.  A very lazy day.
That did not stop me from making another
delicious vegetarian dinner.
First I sautéed an onion, then added two chopped plum tomatoes.

Made a salad... (baked a fresh batch of croutons first).
 Tossed with pasta....
and added Romano cheese and fresh ground pepper.
Such an easy meal that you can make in 20 minutes.
 Delicious.
 Phoebe and
 Little Wonder
 are going to join me
as we continue to take it easy in front of the fire.
Night all.

Winter Serenades - Performance Number One

We warmed up to the 40s today, even tho
it was very crispy when I went out to the barn
this morning.

Two new blossoms and still more buds waiting to burst.

It's so nice to have some color.

At two I headed in to Brockport.  Ran a couple errands and ended
up at St. Lukes for the first winter concert presented by the
Greater Brockport Development Corporation.  This is the group
Gary is in and they also produce Summer Serenades at
the Welcome Center.
Today the guest artist was Jacob Fuhrman, an organist.
It was inspired by this pipe organ that has quite a story.
It was built in the 80s, not too far from here....in Bristol.
For many years it was in a church and ended up in Texas.
An anonymous donor purchased it and gave it to St. Lukes.
This afternoon they had an opportunity to show it off.

Brenda Trembly is the musical director for St. Lukes as well
as a DJ on our local NPR/Classical WXXI radio station.
Here she is with Jacob.  Both are very accomplished
at what they do. It was a great opportunity for those in the audience
who may have or not heard a performance of this quality.
There was a reception after the concert concluded.
I did not get home until 5:30 as I stopped to get a pizza for dinner.

Then I rushed around and went out to do evening chores.

An easy dinner when the pups and I got back in the house.

It will look like this for the duration of the evening.
Night all.
