The First of Many

This is not my kind of weather.
In the 90s and muggy today....I'm sure the horses appreciated the breeze.

Maggie and Angel got hosed right off the bat.

Some friends were at the farm by 9am, and two of them went home with rhubarb.
Hanny checked out the girls.

I had to go to the bank and Wegmans when they left.
You never know what you are going to see in the parking lot.

I have a kiddie pool for the dogs and will get it out tomorrow,
but I'm not sure if they will go for it.  I just may have to head over to Roger and Tina's to cool off in their pool.

Gary went to a gardening seminar in Medina today and stopped at the
Shirt Factory to see Alix and Scott.  The interior has really been developed since they bought this cafe.  And boy!  Are they ever good at marketing.  A very creative menu.
Time for me to pay them a visit.
He came home with this butterfly something or other plant and a stack of books.

Our friends Brenda and Al stopped up this evening with all the artwork that my students had shown in Albion.  Prior to that, they picked up Brenda's 42 paintings from her show at A Different Path Gallery.  They must really like to suffer, doing all that when it was so hot.  It saved the rest of my students a trip and I can guarantee you that it is very much appreciated.
They brought their dog Tootsie with them.
Can you see her with Brenda?
I had chore duty tonight.  Maggie and Angel got hosed before I tucked them in and then I sponged off Abbe and Berlin.  Tomorrow it may hit 100 south of Rochester!

I don't know what I would do without the fan that is blowing on me!
Night all.

PS
IF YOU WANT TICKETS TO THE FARM TO TABLE DINNER IN MEDINA
THEY GO ON SALE JULY 6TH.  DON'T WAIT AS THEY WILL BE GONE IN 48 HOURS.

Gearing Up For A Very Hot Week!

Yuck!

Dr. Liebeck arrived at 3:30 to give the girls their shots.
Prior to that I sponged Abbe and Berlin and when Karen arrived we put all the horses in their stalls for some down time.
They are always so good for the vet.
It's going to be hard on them for the next 7 days.
Me too.  I can't handle the high 90s.
Tonight we had our monthly dinner with Ron, Ann (at their house), Brenda and Al.
Their property looked gorgeous.

As usual we had too much good food.
 Swiss cheese, crackers, pesto
and dates wrapped in cheese and bacon (unbelievable).
 I made the salad.
Romaine, spinach, green onions, red peppers, nectarines, bananas,
candied walnuts and crumbly blue.
Ann started us off with a cup of soup.
All kinds of veggies with a little kick.
 We also had BBQued ribs
 grilled cantaloupe
and a quiche with a sweet potato crust.
Brenda brought strawberry shortcake for dessert.
By then we were all so stuffed and ready for a nap.
 What a meal!
Night all.
