Look at who helped me with chores this morning.
When there are three of us, we really fly.
There was a chance of rain today, but we did not see any.
L'orange loves to take naps under the kitchen table. He is by far, the cat most interested in being in the house.
Class today. Ariana painted this sign a couple of weeks ago. Get it?
Judy worked on her first drawing in colored pencil.
Donna was working on another birthday book for her grandson.
Tina started a new drawing...of a dog.
After class I had lunch, then went out and mowed a couple of pastures.
Gary put up an old screen door for me. It will let lots of fresh air in for Jill's three cats who have taken up residence in the tack/grooming room. She wants to confine them for a couple of weeks so they don't run away. It's not perfect, but will work just fine.
Made a couple of jars of fresh cucumber pickles.
Contemplated taking a nap, but hadn't thought of anything to have for dinner yet and it was almost 4pm.
My buddies napped for me.
Only the back pasture left to mow.
Spoke to Steph on the phone and then went out to do evening chores.
I can't get over the way grass has filled in the front paddock. Fine with me, it's so much nicer. Mowed it today too.
So here's dinner. I made pasta with olive oil and a couple of cheeses and a side of red sauce for those who wanted to indulge. Daniela and Finn love Ceaser Salad. Then, I prepared some peas that we had gotten at the market. I cooked them in the pods and they got a real kick out of removing the peas.
They must have been starving, as they all cleaned their plates.
Cooper must have eaten at least 20 pods full of peas.
I'm so glad they liked them.
After dinner the kids held a few races.
Then they went out to the outdoor arena and played in the sand.
By then it was around 9pm and dark. I took off the ponie's masks and tucked them in for the night.
I am really enjoying Belle. She is a very beautiful girl.
On the way out of the paddock I caught a few shots in the dark.
No shoes or sand in the house please.
Another busy day. Are Finn and Coop going to stay at the farm or go home? They went home.
