I Have Reached My Capacity

Not too bad this morning, but around 3pm we hit 94 degrees.  We are in big trouble if this is a preview of what's coming.

Both boys were in Rebel's stall this morning.

Before 9 I called them into the grooming room so I could finish clipping Rebel.
It took me 2 hours and he just stood there in front of the fan.  I was so full of hair!
Buddy was kept busy with some hay.

I sponged them off and put them back out around 11.
Gary started digging out the potatoes today.  These are Yukon Gold.
All Little Wonder wanted to do was stay cool.
I made a quick trip to Wegmans and Country Max.  That's when the temperature hit 94!
The new potatoes inspired me to make potato salad, and Gary grilled a couple burgers for dinner.
Chores a little before 8.

Once again, I sponged them off.  The temperature was still in the high 80s and there was a tiny breeze.

Waiting for it to cool off a little on Wednesday.
Night all.

Jen's Flowers

Give me a break!

Chores as usual this morning, and after a nice shower, went to Chef's in Spencerport for a celebration of life for our friend Richard Fenton.
The entire family has been in town for a week taking good care of Joan.  We have become very attached to their sons, Rob and Mark as well as their wives.  So nice to see them.

We had to leave a little early as Jenny and I had an appointment with Jen Rae to pick out flowers for her wedding (two weeks from today).  She took us over to the green houses, which were loaded.

We had brought along some hydrangeas (Jenny's preference) in a quart jar to see what could be developed.
Jen Rae's workspace is gorgeous.

When we got back to the farm, Jenny picked a few more hydrangeas to take home for her kitchen table.
I finished binging another series and then went out to do evening chores.  Still so MUGGY!

I sponged off the boys before they chowed.

I was amazed that  Little Wonder even went out the door with me.

Night all.
