KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED....

In the middle of the night we had a little rain.  Went out to the barn early to check on my boy and the weather was still ifffffyyyy.  The good news, Masterpiece was in his usual spot watching me come through the paddock gate.  He made his way out to the pasture with his buddies and seemed to have improved a little bit.

No matter what is going on with this horse, he does not show any form of depression or pain.  Look at him!  Happy to be next to his girlfriend, Berlin.  He's gimpy like I'm gimpy.

Jill, your kitties are still doing great.  Lily wants to get out of that door.
After chores, I went down to the village...met Gary for breakfast at Java and got to see Sally, Pam and the rest of the gang.

Is this not one of the most beautiful little girls you've ever seen????
Mark Ketchum and his wife were going up and down the street watering the hanging planters.  Above and beyond the call of duty.  The village won't do it, so the downtown merchants and their friends have done something about it.  They raised the money to buy the planters, and every single day....these plants are watered.  Talk about community.
 The market was buzzing.
We've had local corn for three weeks now.  It looked beautiful.

As usual, Margay and Ulpi were buying fresh fruit and veggies.  We are so lucky to have this market.

Last year they started having music.  Today it was this group.

What a place to catch up with friends.
Left there and drove out to Glen Darach Farm to drop off a box of veggies for my friend, Andrea.
Grabbed a quick shot of Abbe's sire....Glen Sterling....too bad you can't see how handsome he is.
Hey Tina!  Look what is blooming again.  This has gone on for months....
Jenny and the boys came up around chore time to visit Masterpiece and give him a little grooming and massage work.  They also helped me feed the horses....

I attempted to get a photo of a butterfly they were chasing....but it did not work too well.
All three picked the pastures and the indoor....thank you  thank you.
Then, they wanted me to check out this toad....
 Finn and Gucci were interested...
At the last minute we decided to go down to the Golden Eagle for a quick dinner.  Had not done this in many months.

 Cooper was performing.....
and Finn did not want to be outdone.....KIDS!
Tomorrow we are all getting back to the normal groove.

Tonight I saw marked improvement in Masterpiece.  Let's hope he's on the road to "recovery."
My sweet boy.....

Night all.

Glad Masterpiece is feeling better - what matters is that he's feeling fairly comfortable and happy.

Hi there,
I've missed tons...happy to hear that handsome Masterpiece is doing better. Pray he keeps up with his girlfriend.

That little girl is adorable, yes she is...smart hairdo she has. What fun in town you all had catching up with the music and street fair vendors. Love those.

It's a perfect day when the horses all come in healthy and you get some help picking the poo!!
Have a normal,calm,relaxing day tomorrow!

I'll think of you and I'll take the same kind of photo of the lake for you...I'm 50 tomorrow..I'm riding " all day long" !! my kinda celebration

Are the prices for the peaches for the whole box? How much is the corn? I'd love to know what you pay for fresh produce.

Glad Masterpiece is doing better.

As always lovely photos Lori, even when they're pulling faces. Love the light in the shot of Cooper helping with the chores.

I've been catching up. I love the sense of community I see in your posts. I hope Masterpiece gets better (don't know yet what happened, not that far into the posts)...

fun to see Jenny and the boys and they remind me of my guys when we take them out to eat ...

glad to find the time to stop by. Just had my 9 year old grandson leave after being here for a week...he and the other grandkids keep us busy.
