One More Exciting Day

A very chilly morning and going down to the 30s tonight.

The boys were trying to find some sun behind the grooming room.

By the time they finished their grain the sun was out full blast.

A little before 11 Gary drove me to Red Creek cardiology so I could get a blood pressure cuff put on for 24 hours.  Trying to find out what it really is since I am the Queen of white coat syndrome and it goes nuts when I am at a doctor's office.  During the day the cuff pumps up every half hour and after 10 pm, once per hour.  I am really thrilled about this.....as you can imagine.  Just trying to stay cool (ha ha).

On the way home we stopped for lunch....would definately go there again.
Tried to take it easy this afternoon.  A technician arrived to make sure our boiler is all set before winter.
Pancakes and sausage for dinner.
I tried to get chores done real fast before my BP was taken again and was not in a picture taking mood.

Fortunately Gary was able to put the plexiglass windows back in the barn.  It will be interesting to see if Rebel and Buddy will still choose to stay outside all night.
Little Wonder is still looking for a "normal" day.  So am I.
Night all.

I will be very interested in hearing what the results of this cuff are. I am the same with white coat syndrome and high readings. I did not know this test existed. Kathy

This is so common. Often a Dr will wait, have a chat, not tell you the first reading, then take another after you have settled down. Those monitors are so awkward to have on, dress, or turn over in bed !!! Mine were the ECG ones, with stickers and leads everywhere, quite normal here when you are moved from the main ED dept to the 5 bed overnight unit on the same floor.Hope it shows what is happening and they sort it out pronto!!!

I have the same issue and after an ER visit in Feb, I kept record at home for the next 6 months. I'll hand it in and generally her comment is "if I give you BP meds, you will faint as your BP is a low normal". Yet I go through it each year.
At what point does the BP meds cause side effects and at what point in an older age bracket like mine does it really matter? Especially if it makes you feel like crap.

Does normal even exist anymore? I think you will find your blood pressure is only high in the office.
