11:45am to 11:45am with that damn blood pressure cuff going off every half hour until 10pm, and then every hour through the night. I thought my arm was going to get squeezed off. Fortunately I survived and am pretty tired since I did not get much sleep. As soon as I heard it starting I would sit down in a chair, put my feet on the floor and rested my arm on the chair with my palm up. During the night I just stayed in bed.
As soon as I took it off, grabbed a shower and went to Brockport to return it to the cardiologist. Hopefully he will have read it before I see him tomorrow.
LW kept me company while I distracted myself on my computer.
First, I stopped at Tractor Supply for a big bag of horse cookies.
Then I dropped off the cuff.
By 1 I was at the library playing bridge. It was only 55 degrees outside and we were all wearing sweaters or sweatshirts.
Home at 4:30 after a quick stop at Wegmans and finished getting dinner together. I had put some onions, parboiled chicken breasts, carrots and BBQ sauce in the crockpot on low before I left.
Tonight I did chores before we ate. It's getting dark closer to 7.
Rebel and Buddy went in each other's stalls for dinner.
We should have a frost tonight and it was very windy, so I closed the back door to the run-in by Buddy's stall. Hopefully they will handle it. They still have two exits.
Gary had a fire going before we ate dinner.
Night all.
I'm going to sleep well tonight!

I'm a retired nurse and have never heard of such a 24 hour torture as having your BP taken so frequently. Hope your enduring that gives your doctor some helpful information! BTW, if you or anyone you know (heaven forbid for either) has a stroke, the arm weakened by the stroke should NEVER have a BP taken on that weak arm.
Sweet dreams!
The fire looked so darn inviting!
Hoping for you to get good results tomorrow at the cardiologist. Kathy
I think wearing that BP cuff was silly, it probably caused more stress than if you'd sat down and taken your own BP 3 times a day for a week. My question to the doctor would be why do we have to have a 20 yr old standard for BP, when we are elders? I mean come on, we are not 20 yr old athletes any more.
My problem is....my bp skyrockets when I am at the Doctor's office. They want to know if it is more normal when I am not there. I quit taking my bp at home as it also causes anxiety. I was born with one kidney and my Mom was on dialysis for her last three years. That messes with my mind. My primary was happy with 140/80 at my age.
I'd call 140 over 80 good. I've got to pick the rest of the basil before the frost gets to it. I'm so happy to have appropriate weather for the season now. Dinner and a fire, who could ask for more.
140/80 sounds wonderful to me. When I have been in hospital and the cuff has been left on, I jerk awake when it tightens in the middle of the night.I can usually tell when my BP goes high or TOO high, I get the uncontrollable shakes, and some smart *** Dr tried to tell me it was either a panic attack or anxiety . I think it is my body reacting to the high levels, but they want to put a fancy name to it all. Keep warm, 12.5C outside is getting quite cool.
