Bratwurst and Cabbage

In the 40s again last night.  But....more sushine today.

Almost every morning there is no manure in the stalls, so buddy and Rebel must be out all night, except for when they eat their hay.  I can clean and reset in no time!

I was fairly ambitious for a change.  Got the sleight bedroom ready for our next company, brought a ramp downstairs to see if I can train Little Wonder to use it to get on the bed, and made dinner in the crockpot for tonight.  Also needed to pick more apples.

Gary had an appointment in Rochester and I spent part of the afternoon taking it easy.  I'm slowly but surely learning how to add music to my FB videos.  It's such fun to find appropriate songs.

Dinner at 6.

Chores at 6:30.

I'm loving the light when I go out to feed these guys.

Lots of Stuff

In the 40s this morning!  Yes!

The boy's coats have started to grow with the low temperatures.

Right after chores I went down to Country Max for some Lazer sheen and hoof dressing.

Little Wonder went with me and got a couple of cookies.

Alice arrived at 10 for Spa Day.

The boys got a good grooming and were very relaxed.

It was still nice and cool while we were in the grooming room.

We were supposed to go out to lunch, but she knew I had an appointment with my cardiologist and we cancelled.  

I have been having side effects from a med and am so glad I was taken off it.  What a pain in the ass and my brain.  Took it easy when we got home from my appointment and had soup and sandwiches for dinner.

Chores at 6:45.  The sky was beautiful.

It even changed the color of Little Wonder's face.

Gary's Birthday

Another beautiful day in the high 70s.

Buddy came to meet me as usual, while Rebel watched for me from his stall.

Gary picked more flowers for his table on the porch.  We are still loaded.

I turned the apples I picked yesterday into a pie this morning.  At 1 we were going to Jenny's for Gary's special dinner while we watched the Bills game.

(this is one of the four apples we picked from our little trees near the kitchen.....so good, but not in the pie....we ate it with cheese and crackers)

The pie turned out great.  I love that crumbly topping instead of a crust.

We got down to Jenny's just in time for the kick off.

Started with a Buffalo chicken dip and drinks.  The dinner was very special.

Scallops with fresh lemons topped with melted butter and shallots from our garden.

Grilled chicken.

Basmati rice.

The salad I made.

Outrageous flavors! Scott and Jenny sure know how cook!!!!

A little later we had the pie with ice cream....better than a birthday cake.

Little Wonder was very happy as he spent the afternoon with us.

We left around 4:30.  Scott had his Harley out today....such a beauty.

I got in a short nap and then went out for chores.

More good light when I got back in the house.

 I posted this on FB and Gary got a ton of birthday wishes.  He was probably around 18 in the photo.

The Bills won and are now 4 and 0.
