Reading....Finally

A cold, red start to the day.

The new blankets for Rebel and Buddy arrived yesterday and I took them out to make the switch this morning.

I could not be happier with the quality and the fit.  The Rambos they have been wearing are over 20 years old and fortunately are still very usable.  This is the first time I've picked a blanket that is not a solid color and think the Aztec pattern is pretty cool.

After lunch I put my butt to the fire and spent some time reading the John G. book I picked up last week.
Other than doing a little laundry, my afternoon was very quiet.
Chores a little before 5.  The horses and I appreciated the lack of wind, a high of 34 degrees and no more snow.

Once again my buddies went to the barn with me....happy to get back to the house.

Breakfast for dinner.
Night all.

Shoveling Again

Fortunately we only have gotten about three inches of snow (so far).  Near here, there are all kinds of storm advisories.

After chores we shoveled the driveway.  So much easier now that it is paved.

Little Wonder was out with me for 2 hours.

I made a huge batch of bean salad when I got back in the house and will.be set for a long time!

At 1pm Gary C. came up to play some music.  Nancy and John canceled, but the two of us had a very productive afternoon.  Worked on "Two of Us" and "I Will" by the Beatles then messed around with a couple more.  Gary sang the next two.  Fun songs.

Chores at 5.  The boys spent a lot of time in the snow and their blankets were wet (only on the outside).  Speaking of blankets.....they each got a new one today and I will show you what the look like tomorrow

Got them tucked in and went back to the house for dinner,

Naan bread pizzas.

That's a wrap.
Night all.

A Much Needed Massage

Another cold morning.  This time I had to leave the heater in the water trough on all day.

After chores I checked my computer and decided to get out my ukes to play along with some songs on a site called Ukulaliens.  I love it as it plays the original music and shows you the chords and lyrics so you can play along.  Played "I'm Yours," "Stuck in the Middle" and several others. Fun.
Went to Brockport a little after 2 to pick up a few things at Wegmans and then had an appointment with the massage therapist.
She is located in a Salon that does hair, nails and a whole bunch of other stuff.  This dog was a rescue and hangs out there....can go anywhere and seems sweet.  Her name is Peach.
Home just in time to tuck the boys in.

Little Wonder and Sidney assisted.

At 5:15 it looked like this to the East.
So Van Gogh......

Dinner was simple.  A salad and
corn chowder that I had saved in the freezer.
The fire was going all afternoon and I am ready to get back out in the kitchen.
Night all
