Another Day...

Nothing out of the ordinary today.  Our house guest arrived just before midnight last night....no problems with her flight.  Speaking of flights....Jenny returned from Sweden tonight about 15 minutes ago.  She is pooped.  Had a 4 hour layover at Kennedy Airport in NYC.

The boys were both looking good this morning.
After chores I went down to Wegmans to pick up about 6 items and came home with three full bags.
In October, a friend of Gary's is coming to the college for THE WRITERS FORUM as a presenter and he and his wife will be staying with us for several days.  Such an interesting guy!  Can't wait to meet him in person.
He has written several books and will be speaking at the Historical Society as well as on the radio with Evan Dawson.  He will be very busy!

Gary used to take seed garlic to him many years ago, when Stephanie and family lived in Long Beach and he could visit them too.
Today the rest of the tomato plants were pulled and we saved the green ones.  The ginormous sunflowers were also removed from the back garden.  We still have a ton of peppers and tomatoes in the raised beds.
Little Wonder and I got in some nap time this afternoon.
I did manage to make a peach Betty.

Leftover squash/apple soup for dinner.

Now it's almost dark when I go out a little before 7 and my pictures sure look different.

Little Wonder assisted.

The sky to the North was vibrant.
Night all.

Zinneas.....

This afternoon the sun came back out and the temperature hit the low 70s.

I really appreciate Gary coming out to do the horse's water and grab the wheelbarrow.  It only takes about 5 minutes, but it makes a difference.

After chores I picked some raspberries for my pal Hanny...
and dropped them off on my way to play bridge at the library.  She lives near a beautiful pond that has been filled with geese.
There is an ocean of red in front of her house.
I had also stopped at the Town Hall to pay school taxes and then dropped off our car insurance.  All of our big bills come at the same time.
Got home around 4:30 and started gathering some veggies for dinner.  We are loaded.
Gary picked some fresh flowers for our kitchen table.  There are so many in the gardens.
I made Naan bread pizzas tonight.  White ones with Alfredo sauce.
Delicious.
Chores a little before 7.

Got the boys tucked in and am off duty.

Night all.

PS
Jenny and Sabine had a great time today!

Reunion!

Still on the cool side.

Not too many words today.  My band disbanded and I am very sad about that.  This afternoon I went down to a jam at the guitar shop for awhile and have no clue what I am going to do after having met weekly for 6 years and having gigs.  I'm sitting here rolling my foot on a frozen bottle of water.  Yesterday it took me forever to get through to a podiatrist and I can't get an appointment until October 31st.  It's going to be a long month.  I feel like I'm walking on a rock.
Evening chores at 7.

Tomorrow I am going to have to get motivated.
Night all.

But what about this reunion?????
In 1986-87 we had an exchange student from Germany who lived with us for a year.  We have kept in touch all this time and she came back to the states decades ago.  When Sabine found out Jenny was in Sweden she made arrangements to fly to Stockholm so they could spend a little time together.  She arrived this evening and it looks like it was a very emotional time for both.  I'm so happy they could do this.  Sisters!!!!

How sweet is this?
