I can't believe we have been on such a long roll with the weather. We are heading toward a week in the 70s which is fine with me. Possibly a little rain.
Rebel looked pretty good this morning. He was barefoot and ready to go out to the pasture.
Jessy, the farrier, was to arrive a little after 9 so I put the boys in their grooming room stalls with some hay 'til she got here.
Buddy was first and he was a good boy.
Then it was Rebel's turn.
He was able to stand well enough to get all four feet trimmed. We left his soles alone and found a spot on his left front by the coronet band where an abscess may have blown out. Put on some iodine and decided to put on a
dry wrap for today.
All of his feet looked much better and she will be back in 6 weeks. Tomorrow I will check on his coronet band and see if he needs to be wrapped.
Little Wonder and I got in a nap this afternoon.
At 5:30 we went down to the college for a reception at Cooper Hall. It was for people who have been supportive in various ways. We knew many of the people there .....
and the food was fantastic. Good enough to be dinner.
I had a great time chatting with people.
Home just before dark and tucked the boys in for the night.
Night all.

Good news for Rebel! A dry boot seems like a good choice, as it will allow his sole to build up strength!
How's your foot doing?
Maybe a bit of vet wrap and duct tape for you? :)
Rebel is moving well. Perhaps you now have an answer. That looks like a nice gathering with lots of food.
