A Sad Day For Josh and the Bills

We had a very temporary warm up today and are headed toward some Arctic temperatures over the coming week.  That does not excite me.

The sun (tho it was on and off) was a welcome sight.

We invited a couple of friends over for dinner and to watch the Bills game tonight.  I made a brownie pie with walnuts.....and a big pot of spaghetti and meatballs.
Took it easy this afternoon.

The game started at 4:30 and just at that time there was an outrageous snow squall.  I thought it would be smart to put the horses in early and by the time I got things organized to feed them the sun was out.

As soon as I got out to the barn Kathy and Mark arrived.  They used to have horses and wanted to meet Rebel and Buddy.

We ate popcorn and watched the first half of the game before sitting down to dinner.

Tasted great.  So much to talk about.

Unfortunately, the Bills lost by three points in overtime.  A tough game.

I need to get out by the fire.
Night all.

PS
Here is a clip from last nights tv interview before the Village Board meeting.  Our community stood up and the board listened.  The Mayor has postponed voting on the dissolution of the Village Court until April 1st.

I Needed Some Sunshine!

I must have been tired as I slept in until 7:15.  Usually up by 6:30 at the latest.

We did get a little more snow last night.

After chores Gary went for coffee and I did some shoveling.
The driveway looks like a skating rink.  Fortunately the snow was nice and light.

I had ordered those old fashioned lace curtains for all the windows upstairs and got them in place when I got back in the house.  Also had Gary hang a painting for me between the windows behind the new bed.  Now it looks like an arty headboard.
Before there was a tiny photograph there.  Looks much better now....more balanced.
I have these old fashioned curtains downstairs too (in the library, living room and bedroom).  The house was built in 1823 so they seem very appropriate.

Chores a little early.....

as Gary and I wanted to attend a meeting of the Village Board tonight regarding their desire to dissolve the Village Court.  It has been a huge issue. We grabbed a bite at the diner first.  Over 150 community members were there and many had the opportunity to speak.
The Board members took a beating and I hope they are smart enough to realize that the direction they are going in is not appreciated.  I was interviewed by one of the Rochester TV stations and hope I don't come off as a jerk.
It's late.  Need to get out by the fire.
Night all,
