Plenty of Sunshine

Ironically, after making an appointment with Spectrum to come and fix our land line, internet and streaming....everything started to work on its own.  So here I am and I do not have to wait until Wednesday.

36 degrees this morning and there was frost on the pastures.

Stephanie sent photos from Daniela's last soccer match for the RedBirds (Illinois State, Division 1 Soccer...yesterday).  In a few short weeks she will be moving to Florida for grad school.  She has had an amazing experience there and has been recognized in so many ways, which included scholarships, awards and a top shelf internship.  Very proud!

This morning I could here the ding ding ding of the Town Trucks as they were here to pick up our gigantic pile of brush.
We are always first on the list and they do an outstanding job!
Out to the barn for morning chores and it was still very chilly.

When finished, I picked a huge bucket of apples for the ponies and they came over to indulge.
So far so good for Rebel in the walking department.  Not 100% yet.

I started working on the piles of walnuts that were still in the front yard...

Gary did 90% and finally finished this afternoon.
When he was done I mowed that section and mulched the remaining leaves.

After that, Little Wonder and I took it easy in front of the fire.

There was some good light coming into the kitchen late afternoon.

Evening chores at 6.  The moon was out and we had another beautiful sunset.

As soon as they hear the gate open....they appear.

Got them tucked in and
made pancakes and sausage for dinner.  Just what we wanted.
Night all.

That's a lot of accomplishments! I hope she likes Florida. Rebel looks good! I had left over chicken and dumplings. Gotta love leftovers!
