Felt Like -2 This Morning

I need a break from these cold mornings....so do the horses.  Since I pulled something yesterday, here is the cane I'm using.  It was carved by my friend Al C. when I had a knee replacement many years ago and I love it.  Fortunately I'm about 40% better than I was yesterday.

Chores as usual.  So cold.

We were all happy to get back in the house.  Sidney is one smart cat....loves to be by the fire

It was game day for the Bills and we spent the afternoon watching it.
After a very slow start, they came back in the second half and won!
Chores a little early again.

For some reason, LW wanted to come out with me tonight.  The barn temp was 21 degrees.

We had a delicious dinner tonight.  Pork medallions with caramelized onions/soy sauce/honey mustard and peach jam....Jasmine rice, peas and salad.
I still have not been in a picture taking mode, so every day looks the same.
Night all.

Your cane with the special carved horse head and neck is lovely and am sorry you need to use it, but am glad it's there to help you get from here to there once again.
It's cold here, too, and our dusting of snow, then sleet from this morning all melted before we were overtaken by Arctic cold wind this afternoon and evening.
I'd made a Potato Cake casserole for our son who lives next door, so DH drove me in the car as it was too cold to walk or to take the golf cart. Good thing we went as our son had ordered a guitar and it had been delivered a day early and left on his front porch. Because we went next door despite the cold, the new guitar is safely in the house and not undiscovered on the front porch all night long. A miracle of timing and that was appreciated!
Our power went out briefly but am glad it's on now as this frigid night would be no fun without heat! It's a night for cozy clothes, for sure!

Hugs!

Barbara Anne! Wow! It's a good thing you discovered the guitar. The cold temperatures would have been so bad for it! Tell me about your potato cake casserole. Is there a way for me to contact you?

Dinner looks so good! We are having a warmup so it may be coming your way. I would use that cane whether I needed it or not. It's beautiful. You have the best friends.

That's a pretty nifty cane. My dad had two that he liked to walk with. Funny stories about his canes...but anyway...I sure hope you recover quickly.
