Little Wonder and the Bandit

It was drizzling or pouring most of the day with a high of around 67 degrees (and falling).

Rebel was better than yesterday.
Alice arrived at 10 for Spa Day.  For a change, the boys did not come in on their own.  Instead, because it was raining, they decided to walk over to the indoor and we followed.

Buddy went in first and was nervous until Rebel arrived.

Almost two hours later, they were groomed and back out.

Stephanie stayed in Columbus, Ohio last night and arrived around 1pm.
Bandit was totally comfortable and must have remembered the farm.

He and LW got along well as soon as they saw each other.

Off the subject....have you ever eaten a Nutty Buddy?  Steph saw a video about them and informed us that there is no ice cream included and if left out of the freezer, they won't melt.  This is how one looked after an hour sitting out.  They include everything but ice cream.  That's it for us.  Won't buy them again.  Years ago MacDonalds did not use ice cream in their "shakes."  I wonder if that is still true.
Finn, Coop and two pals stopped in after having dinner with their Dad and Nana Pat in Batavia.  Aunt Stephanie had all kinds of clothes for them.
When they left, we had dinner.  Boneless ribs, corn on the cob and coleslaw.
Chores at 8.  The boys were ready!
Earlier, Steph and I started going through hundreds and hundreds of photos.  Here is a shot of my first horse....Shadow (quarter horse). That was about 1980.  He was an absolute doll.  Jenny took him to 4-h camp when she was about 11 years old and he took good care of her for a week.
Night all.

Those old photos, I have some when I was a child on our farm and entered calves and then yearlings in the school " Calf Club Day" , We also did " Decorated Vehicles" one friend won with his bike, a regular one speed pedal bike with crepe paper woven in all the spokes. Love the pony photo, that is a real treasure.

I really enjoy seeing Alice so happy and comfortable around the horses. LW looks happy to have a canine companion visit. Your first horse had beautiful bay coloring.
