A nice cool morning and I did not have to go out to the barn at 6:30. Yay!
At 9 a couple of painters arrived to work on the house and Alice and I went out to the grooming room for another Spa Day at 10. As you can see, both boys know what's cooking when she appears.
All done at noon and both boys had a one hour grooming. I am very grateful to have this space and it works very well when the vet and farrier visit. When there were 8 horses here we jammed up this space getting tacked up....usually, no more than 4. The son of the previous farm owner used this area to work on cars and it is insulated. Currently, it needs a new paint job. Especially the ceiling!
I just started making cabbage soup to put in the crock pot when Mark F. and his Dad stopped in for a short visit. So nice to see them.
Much of the West and South sides of the house are primed now.
That took a heck of a lot of scraping first (shake shingles).
Around 2 I went out to mow the lawn. All that rain made it grow like crazy.
The cabbage soup smelled so good all afternoon. Our own cabbage onions and potatoes.
Chores at 8.
Still nice and cool.
Night all.

Those boys love Alice! That's a big job getting the house painted. It's still good weather over here, I'm happy it finally made it your way.
