Do Something

No Kings Day and we participated.  Did you?
Before going to Hamlin this afternoon for the protest (in the past we went to Batavia three times) I had to take a shower and give Little Wonder a long warm rinse.  I had to put a leash on him to get him in there but he was totally cooperative.  Used a couple of towels on him before the hair dryer and he was not so thrilled with that.  Hmmmm.  He has only been going to the groomer for 10 years.  Afterward he took a seat with Gary.

Around 1:30 we were leaving and wouldn't you know that it started to snow.

As we got closer to Brockport it cleared up.
We arrived right at two and there were already a lot of people lined up in front of the Town Hall.
First I walked the length of the line and took a ton of pictures along with a video.   Here is the shortened version.  This is a very small town and I was very impressed with the turnout.

It was around 33 degrees and with the wind it felt like 12.  So cold!!!!!
I took around 70 photos and just picked out a few for this post.

Dinner was easy.  Leftover chicken and gravy.
Night all.

PS
I can't wait to see how many people participated today.  From what I have seen so far, it looks like we will be way over 7 million. (Last Rally). Regardless of party, it's up to all of us to care about the future of this country and the kind of life our children and grandchildren will have.  In my humble opinion, the current administration does not seem to care.  In some way.....we all have to participate to get our planet back.

Talk About Crispy!

Brilliant sunshine all day long but we stayed in the high 20s.

I did 4 loads of laundry and as soon as the bed was remade, Little Wonder was on it.

I talked to a couple of groomers about LW and tried to take back the $47 bottle of shampoo I got from the Animal Hospital.  No deal, and it was never opened.  Just don't feel good about the ingredients in that or in apoquel (which I had already started giving him).  I'm looking into other options for itching.  He has no hot spots....no hair loss....no red feet.....no welts....no bad ears.  Just scratching behind his ears and elbows....but not very often and not at night.  Tomorrow he is getting a long rinse in the shower.
Gary has been getting in thousands of steps raking the lawn....which is huge.  So many pine needles and walnuts.  I went to Wegmans to get some cottage cheese and came home with a hundred dollars of groceries.
Made five containers of fresh dog food and froze four of them.  Ground turkey, rice, peas and carrots.
LW approved.  After that I put together some chicken and gravy for dinner, which I served on mashed potatoes with a side salad.
My buddies always take a nap after dinner.

This is how it looked at 7pm.  I really appreciate having it this light.
Night all.

64 Going Down to 25

This morning it looked pretty nice when I got up and felt so warm when I let Little Wonder out.

Lots of good light.
Gary went out for coffee and I started working on a sign for  a NO KINGS rally.  On Saturday we will be going to a nearby town to participate (Hamlin).  The past three times we went to Batavia.  The way things are going......we just have to keep standing up.
Little Wonder and Sid spent most of the day with Gary.....

as I went to the library to play duplicate bridge.  We were celebrating Melba and Daves birthdays with a delicious cake made by Rosalie (who was my partner today).

We came in second, which was a major surprise since we had terrible cards.
Just when I left to go see Buddy a torrential downpour started and it has not stopped yet.
Too bad it did not look like this.
By that time the temperature had gone down to 46 and I wanted to get his sheet back on.  It'supposed to go down to 25 later and those big drops can be so bad for colic.  Of course he was wet.

I rubbed him down with towels and groomed him for a good hour.  Then I put on this cotton sheet, hoping it would help dry him out.
Both boys enjoyed their carrots, apples and cookies.

It was almost 6 when I put his sheet back on.  Kathy came out to check on us.
Buddy was different today.  More like his old self.  Perkier and playful.
No cooking tonight.  Once again I had another bout with my back and worked it out in a short time.  Gary went down to the Diner and picked up some chicken salad sandwiches.
Now I'm going to go out by the fire and watch some March Madness.
Here's another one of Michelle's photos when she was checking it out on her computer.
Night all.
