It Has Arrived

You won't be seeing me out and about for the next few days.  This weather is so oppressive.  I was just talking to a friend on the phone and he informed me that the heat index is at 111!

Last night the moon looked like this around 10pm.

This morning Little Wonder and I went out to do a couple things and we lasted about 15 minutes.
I cleaned off all the dead, woody vines on the clematis trellis and am hoping it will start growing.  Way behind this year.  Also attempted to do a little weed whacking and that lasted for about 5 minutes.
I managed to do some laundry, but was a bum much of the day.
Gary had yoga and went out to lunch.  He also took it easy for awhile when he got home....reading the paper and hanging out with LW by one of the fans.
Eventually I got off my butt, took a shower and went down to Wegmans to get some groceries.
I spoke to Ariana this morning and she and Kurt will be coming here from Friday until Sunday.  On Thursday they will be in Toronto for the Croatia/Portugal World Cup match and then we get to spend some time with them.  A family dinner is coming up.
In spite of the heat, we had a great dinner tonight.

Gary was kind enough to grill some chicken and corn on the cob.

Little Wonder is next to me and of course there is a fan on us.  Can't wait to get out to the kitchen where it is much cooler.  I feel sorry for all animals on days like this.
Night all.

Your meals look fantastic. I did do a lot of work in the early am here and it was in the 80's by 7am when I finished up. Stay cool in this hot weather. We have a couple more days of hot/humid/stormy weather and then hopefully July weather will be a bit better.

Go to layout and add the translate gadget. Get shots of the moon. We have been in the high heat and humidity for a few days. I'm not doing much of anything cause I don't want to turn on the A/C.
