Empty Pastures

Sure can't complain about the weather.

Jenny and Scott stopped here to pick up a dolly so they could move a few things for someone.

After they left I decided to go for trike ride #18 before it warmed up.  Next week is going to be nasty hot.
About 45 minutes later I was back home.

The second leaf is opening on the Bird of Paradise. I would love to have it get huge again,
Little Wonder and I took a break and watched a movie before going out to mow the pastures.
Instead of looking like a golf course, they look like hay fields.
This is the first time I mowed to the second floor of the barn.
The big pasture is totally out of control and I don't think my lawn tractor can handle it at this time.  I have a very wide path in between so LW doesn't have to walk through the long stuff.

The back pasture,
outdoor arena, the small pasture, front paddock and the hill to the barn are done....but they don't look that great. Very sad with no horses out there.
Not in a cooking mood.  That meant Naan bread pizzas.  The no brainer meal.

Night all.

Might you host other horses and/or donkeys to "mow" the grass for you? Perhaps just for a day so you're not caring for them long term. Of course, I've never had a horse or donkey, so this might be an absurd question.
Wonder why your blog posts aren't being updated by your blog host? You're not the only one with this odd situation.

Hugs!

I was not aware that my posts were not being updated. And this is happening to others too? Has anyone else noticed this.

Yup, no updates for your blog....
However, I found you!
Love the fact you have so much nice shade in your yard.
You could hire someone to come in and brush hog or mow that pasture with a tractor or some such thing! Someone could even use hay from it?
Stay cool the rest of this week. It is miserable here a 5am.

I had a brief period a week ago where you weren't showing up. I was told by someone I hadn't been, either. Val may be right, could it be cut for hay?
