And The Manure Pile Is Gone!

Most of the day was sunny and crisp, but rain appeared around 4pm.

After chores I picked the small pasture and started to mow, when a big tractor arrived to take our manure.  The driver also grows garlic and has seen how much better it is when fertilized.  It sure has improved our soil!
His son just happens to have a trucking business, so he arrived with a dump truck.
The job was done in no time and I went back to mowing.

The grass is lush.
I won't be mowing the rest of the pastures for awhile.
Little Wonder kept me company the entire time.
After lunch we took a nap.
Too bad it rained.  I was hoping this area would dry out so we could get it raked.
Made another quick trip to Wegmans...I have been living there lately.
Dinner was a total replay....shortcake later.  Those strawberries are so different from our own.  All nice and red, but no juice.
The boys were wet when I tucked them in at 7:30.  It's going to rain many days in a row....hopefully not all day.

Off duty.
Night all.

It's going to be mid eighties today. Too warm too soon. We will be easing the horses to the pastures soon. That strawberry dessert looks really good.
