What a gorgeous day....all day.
Another break. Today Gary, Jen, Scott and I had a date to go out for lunch in celebration of Mother's Day. We left the farm a little before 11 with a vase full of tulips .
Dropped them off when we picked up Jenny and Scott before driving in to "Pelican's Nest."
We had a gift certificate from Harry B. (Jen's boss) and decided that this would be the perfect time to use it.
It's on the Genesee River and we opted to sit out on the deck.
It's right across from the Rochester Yacht Club.
We took our time and everything was delicious.
When we left, drove by the Port of Rochester where there has been all kinds of development.
Quite a change since we were last here.
When in this area and the sun is out, it's hard to resist going to Abbotts for a custard.
We grabbed our cones and walked over to
Ontario Beach Park.
I'll bet you did not think we could have such a big, sandy beach on Lake Ontario.
We decided to drive along the lake on our way back home.
All kinds of wetlands to the west.
Below is the Brockport Yacht Club. Looked like they were putting boats in the water.
When we drove through Brockport, all the garden squares were full of color.
No sooner were we home, when a very large package arrived!
Steph's mother-in-law is an amazing baker and whenever she would post photos I would tease her and say "I'd like to order a box to go." Well today, that's what was in the box!
We had to taste everything!
What an amazing gift! Thank you Vedrana!!!!!
Gary went out to put a second coat of paint on the west side of the studio.
In the meantime, the girls were all watching some activity across the street.
I took it easy and Sidney wanted to sleep away the afternoon with me.
I did watch the Kentucky Derby and am grateful that all the horses made it without any injuries.
Having a regular dinner was out of the question, so I just had eggs and toast.
All kinds of activity coming up tomorrow.
Drumming for the Pink Ribbon Run in Rochester, then a dress rehearsal with our
Sunday Jam group. That should keep me busy.
Night all.

Looks like a great day! Still raining here. That's makes it seven straight day of rain. Happy Mother's Day!
Looks like a fantastic day to me! What a fun box of bakery items! I would have LOVED it!
Thanks for taking me along with you. My dad used to have a boat at the Rochester Yacht Club, so I've been in and out of the channel many times. And, my Aunt used to take us to Ontario Beach. What fun to see it all again.
Wow! Those treats look AMAZING! Yum!
Oh man, what a gift! Like your day and all of your days :-).
