I don't know what the temperature was when I took these two photos this morning, but I do know that I was grateful to see the sun.

... it was -2 when I went out to do chores.

Once again, the moon was still high in the sky.

Seeing that we are going to have extreme temperatures for the next few days, I put sheets on top of their winter blankets for extra warmth...some people don't go for blanketing, but with my geriatric unit, I don't want them to waste any energy trying to stay warm.

I also gave them extra hay.

When I got in from evening chores the fire was very inviting as my butt backed up to the hearth.

The girls spent the day with Finn and Coop and came back to the Farm for dinner. While Jenny did the dishes, all four of the kids danced.

Gar and I had our first chorus rehearsal for this semester. Our new music looks great. Tonight I am going out to give the horses some extra hay. It has to be below 0 again.

It looks a lot like my world. Makes Victoria want to move back to Virginia. (We lived there for a couple of years before we moved further north) Stay warm! This too shall pass.
Lori & Victoria,
I wish I could send some warmth to both of you! There's more than enough to go around for lots of people, just tap into the Niger winter climate! :-)
Looks the same here. We usually do extra sheets, we have a few oldsters too.
Back up to the fireplace and stay warm.
