Stand Up For Your Rights

Not only did we have a beautiful sunrise, it was sunny most of the day.  High of 16 but that was destroyed by the wind chill.  While I was feeding the horses, Gary blew a nice path over to the indoor.
As per usual, Buddy and Rebel stood out in the pasture oblivious to the wind.
Little Wonder took a quick potty break and did not go out for morning chores.
This is the first day I did not put the boys back in their stalls....tho they did go in half an hour early.
This time LW joined me.

We went down to Brockport for a 6pm Indivisible pot luck/postcard writing meeting that ended up with a candlelight vigil in support of Ice victims in Minnesota.

More people and food than at any other meeting.  What a turnout!

Pastor Dan

At 7 we went outside.  The local newspaper and television stations were all there along with over 125 people.  Not bad for a night with the temperature at 0.....I was very impressed by the turnout.

Pastor Dan spoke to us about his experience in Minneapolis with 700 other clergy members.  He also taught us a song.

This sign is outside of the Baptist church.  Today Pastor Dan received a call from the Village Board saying it needed to be taken down because it was political.  Good luck on that one.
Night all.

Thank you Lori for venturing out to hear Pastor Dans experiences. I’d ask the Village Board do they go around and make every T flag be removed from homes as they are political with his name on them. Kathy

Wonderful turnout. Many people want to support the opposition to ICE. We must find our way back to the rule of law and due process. I am impressed with the Baptist Church! A strong stand is needed in these times.

It is a movement. The protest songs are rolling out and Bruce Springsteen's song has hit number 1 overnight on all the charts and is being played everywhere and being shared.
Every church in every town is holding vigils this week and next week for peace.

The sign is not political. Holman was on local TV this morning. I had no idea the Twin Cities is a deep, dark pit of crime. Sex trafficking and child abductions at every turn. My goodness. Did you know it's the rhetoric of MN leadership causing violence, not a bunch of goons dressed like combat troops yanking people out of cars, pepper spraying, tear gassing and the minor little thing of killing people because they can? And, and, we are now a theatre, as in the European theatre. They are going to bring peace and justice to the Cities.

Sandra I learned a statistic which I can’t recall the source but 5% of those detained have criminal records. That’s it. No one has a problem finding those few criminals but targeting and labeling everyone detained as a criminal is wrong and inhumane in our land of the free.
