Another cold morning. Our low felt like -13 last night and today we did hit 11 degrees but it felt like 0. Fortunately, we had some sunshine and very little wind along with new snow.
I decided to turn the boys out and put the heater on in the water trough. The barn was cold and they already had frozen whiskers.
Jenny was here by 8 to help us in the barn and shoveling. A very nice surprise. Our hands kept getting cold the entire time.
She got in a few thousand steps and we also reaped some benefits.
Little Wonder did not go out for morning chores, but he did make it for a few minutes when I got back to the house, He was sporting his turtleneck sweater.
Around 2 I put the boys back in the barn with more hay and warm water.
Once again LW went with me.
I certainly was not in the mood to go anywhere and did some laundry followed by fire time.
Went out a little before 5 to reset the stalls. When I turn Buddy and Rebel out they don't go anywhere....too interested in dinner.
Tonight I made a couple of burgers and turned them into paninis with fried onions and cheese....leftover baked beans and coleslaw. A winter picnic.
Night all.
PS
How much more can Minnesota take? Watching the news had me in tears today.

I think I’ll copy your dinner for us tomorrow. Good idea. Wonderful that Jennie came early to help you. I watched the news tonight with horror over the young man losing his life. Why were they dragging away the person with them before he was killed? So many questions needing answers. This has to stop! Kathy
I watched a live stream of the people on the street and the feds right after the shooting.
It was rather intense.
