Gary went to yoga and the Geezer lunch after chores.
Rebel and Buddy started out under the shed roof....
went behind the grooming room to get out of the wind....
and then kept standing in the pasture with their butts to the wind. Again. Way too cold, so I put them back in their stalls with hay and warm water. Had a little burst of energy and cleaned out my desk area.
I had a 2:45 appointment with my dermatologist in Rochester.
Home by 3:45 and got things ready for the night feed. I will continue to give them a little warm bran mash until we get through this cold snap. Went out early to turn them out and reset the stalls. It was good for them to catch a break outside.
Before going to my appointment I made a crockpot full of cabbage, onions, carrots and polka kielbasa.
Served it tonight with noodles (topped with butter and black pepper).
Apples, cheddar cheese and pumpernickel bread. So good on a cold night.
I definately need to get back by the fire.

I bet they love their warm mash. I know our elder mule loved it a few years ago. He always came near the house when he thought it was mash time and brayed like the dickens until I came out with it!

You take such good care of the boys. It's cold and sunny today. Put yourself in front of the fire and relax a bit.
