Went to the barn for a few minutes this morning...Karen did the chores.
I had to leave at 8 for Genesee Valley Park in Rochester. We drummed for the Pink Ribbon Run and Walk, which Jenny ran in as a cancer survivor.
We were a vision in pink.
Our backs were to the river and people were sculling...beautiful. They were surprised to hear us!
Jenny and Brooke gave us the high sign when they ran by.
I love this group of drummers, as they are all about community (and that is something they all practice with Khalid). They could have done something else on Mothers Day....but no! They came here to add spirit and support to cancer survivors.
Home before noon and mowed the lawn while Gary had duty at the Welcome Center.
Jenny invited us down for a Mothers Day picnic.
It was delish. I brought along my first rhubarb pie of the season.
Finn's got a game tonight. He and Coop were throwing some balls with Kevin. They both have great arms.
Chores at 5:30. I could barely keep my eyes open. All that sunshine and being outside did me in.
I need some rest.
Night all.

It was a perfect weekend with the weather here too, and yours sounds that was as well from start to finish!
Pink, that was once called " Shocking Pink" way back in the 19??? I remember it, so maybe about the 1960's or so. Lovely drumming, great support for the community. Cheers, Jean
