Dull and Cold

I guess I'd better start thinking in terms of winter.  It did not snow today but it sure was cold.

Once again, there was hay under the shed roof for the boys.

This time when I got back in the house Sidney was on the bed.  First time.  Usually Seymour has that spot.  Sid has been spending a lot more time in the house, but he still asks to go back out at night.  He has beds in three places in the barns plus a hay igloo in the loft.  I wonder where he choses to sleep.  He's always ready to come in around 6:30am, as he and Seymour split a can of food.   Dry is always available and they drink a lot of water.
Around 10:30 Gary and I went down to the Spectrum store as he wanted to buy a new phone.....a flip phone!  He found a great one and it's going to take some time to figure it out.  So far I was able to find ringtones and am still trying to figure out how to add contacts.  Very different from my iPhone.

This afternoon Sid and Little Wonder moved to the couch....by the fire.  I didn't get there until about 3:30.

I started dinner and was 10 minutes late getting out to tuck in Buddy and Rebel.  By then it was really dark.  No beautiful sunset.

Tomorrow it's going to feel like we are in the teens 40-45mph winds.
Breakfast for dinner.

Night all.

  1. Those winds were no joke. They came with snow squalls here yesterday. However, it did pass and since we are not on top of a ridge, we didn't get the worst of it.

Cold. In case you are wondering, I find insulated coveralls to be very comfortable all winter long for doing chores and things outside. I just step in, zip up and add hat and mittens or gloves.

Stay out of the winds...it was pretty vicious!

  2. We also had strong wind and cold temps. No snow, though. It will be a good day for you to stay mostly inside the house.

  3. High in the upper 40s*F here today but the wind was so strong and ongoing, it's felt a lot colder outside Richmond, VA.
I like CuddLDuds two piece thermals. Our older son and DIL just moved here (yippee!) and I gave her a set of these for her November birthday and DS1 bought himself a set after seeing hers. Cozy and only $30 on Amazon.

    Hugs!
