First Measurable Snow

A little above freezing by mid morning.

The Rebel Suite.

Whenever I come in from morning chores Seymour is all curled up on the bed.  Sometimes he is there for hours.
Gary had Yoga and went out to lunch.  I did a little shoveling and eventually started a fire in the kitchen before going into the library to check my computer.
By now you must have figured out that after lunch if I am near the fire it's time for a nap.

The sun was brilliant much of the day.
Gary split more wood and brought it up to the back porch.  We go through quite a bit.
Tucked the boys in....

and that was that.

Salad and leek and potato soup for dinner.  So glad I had frozen it when I made a big batch weeks ago.
Night all.

  1. You always say Gary does yoga. Maybe yoga would help your back problems. I do it at home in front of the dvd-great for my bad back.

    1. I do stretching, go to a message therapist and once in awhile to a chiropractor. Find that I'm much loser after doing morning chores.

  2. A snow blower and a power log splitter,, when is Gary's next birthday? Some places have had huge dumps, and some places have freezing frozen rain.!!! Guess he's in 4 layers again. I think living vicariously is a lot warmer than being anywhere up north today.

    1. We have had a snow blower for several years and now that our driveway is paved, it's so much easier. Gary likes splitting wood and still works on upper arm strength lifting 2 20 pound weights regularly.

  3. Looks like a nice day with some pretty snow. We have some snow here but not really much to measure.
    Your supper looks amazing.

  4. The ground is barely covered here. Our wood is from the softwood trees that are all around us, so it burns quickly. It's a lot of work supplying wood. I think i will make soup today. It will become uber windy and cold in the afternoon.

    1. Your weather is headed our way. Strong winds tomorrow and it will feel like the teens.
