A very beautiful day from beginning to end. Just a little crispy.
Naturally, I woke up very early....as in 5:20. Should sleep pretty well tonight.
At noon I went down to The Center to help set up for Jimmy Foote's Celebration of Life.
By 1, the sound crew had things in pretty good shape.
There were videos, flowers and photos everywhere.
During the service, two of Jimmy's friends and two of our Buskers sang this Bob Dylan song.
So perfect. I will always think of Jimmy when I hear it, and hope we can all learn it very soon.
I've been spending almost every Sunday afternoon from 1-3 with this man and the Buskers.
Pure pleasure and so good for the soul. Jimmy Foote will not be forgotten and we will continue to sing and play, hoping that he is still tuned in.
I headed home at 5:30 and it was pretty dark.
Night all.
A day of memories, music, laughter and sadness all rolled together. And I thought there was a quilt hanging up behind a monitor screen somewhere. Threads of life woven with so many of you, he will always be remembered with love and happiness.
